1. Promoting the proliferation of beneficial bacteria in animal intestine

There is no chitooligosaccharide enzyme in the digestive tract, which basically reaches the hindgut in the original form. Most of them are used by beneficial bacteria to produce carbon dioxide and volatile fatty acids to promote the proliferation of beneficial bacteria; however, harmful bacteria (E.coli and Salmonella, etc.) cannot use oligosaccharides. At the same time, the acid substance produced reduces the pH value of the whole intestinal tract, thus inhibiting the growth and colonization of harmful bacteria, playing the role of beneficial bacteria proliferation factor, and improving the disease prevention and disease resistance ability of animals.

2. Adsorption and elimination of intestinal pathogens

Pathogenic bacteria (E.coli, Salmonella, etc.) have protein like structures on the cell surface or villi, known as lectins. They can bind to receptors on the surface of intestinal inner wall cells and adhere to intestinal epithelium for reproduction. The structure of the receptors on the surface of intestinal inner wall cells is the carbohydrate structure with short chain branches. Therefore, chitosan oligosaccharides will competitively combine with the lectin on the surface of pathogenic bacteria cells when added into the feed, thus preventing the pathogen from adhering to the intestinal epithelium, thus losing the ability to cause disease.

3. Improve animal immunity

Chitooligosaccharides have certain immunity, which can stimulate the immune response of the body and increase the humoral and cellular immunity of animals, such as activating the phagocytic activity of macrophages and improving the anti infection ability of animals.

4. Promoting animal growth

It can improve the structure of intestinal mucosa, improve the function of digestive organs, increase the villus height and crypt depth of jejunum and ileum, reduce the width of villi, reduce the thickness of intestinal wall and mucous membrane, so as to facilitate the absorption of nutrients; promote the absorption of nutrients such as calcium, phosphorus and vitamins, improve daily gain and feed conversion rate, and improve meat quality.
